About The Training
We are thrilled to share the success of Cohort 1, the inaugural installment of our transformative training program. This groundbreaking initiative was specifically designed to empower and uplift women of color, providing them with the essential tools and insights necessary to navigate the intricate world of government grants effectively.
In our first-ever training session, we had the privilege of hosting 20 enthusiastic participants, all eager to enhance their knowledge and skills. Together, we delved into various crucial aspects of grant acquisition, including the deciphering of grant application acronyms, aligning proposals with donor objectives, and unveiling the potential for for-profit businesses to access grants. Additionally, we highlighted the critical importance of avoiding “Mission creep,” ensuring that businesses maintain their core values while seeking funding opportunities.
What makes this achievement even more remarkable is that all proceeds from Cohort 1 went directly to the Joy of Giving Joy Foundation, advancing its mission to support initiatives that empower and uplift women in business.
Through Cohort 1 and subsequent sessions, we are committed to providing ongoing support and opportunities, ultimately fostering a more inclusive and equitable business landscape for women of color.
